Responsible for translating the HR data strategy into actionable outcomes and maturing HR’s enterprise data capabilities (strategy enablement) through the introduction of key data interventions within HR (e.g. data governance, data privacy, data quality, data literacy) in close collaboration with IM. Oversee and manage group HR data and ensuring that HR data consumed across businesses are fit for use in group reporting and related global processes, clearly defined, understood by key stakeholders and managed proactively.
Responsible for driving data improvement across group HR and bringing stakeholders together in order to increase knowledge sharing and collaboration around topics of people data. Own and drive the enterprise data/analytics platform roadmap for the HR function and provide steer to the business as enabler through common-use data/analytics platforms, products or tools.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Interpret data management regulations, analyse data across multiple systems, and design solutions to enable HR teams and Sasol Group to meet global regulatory data management obligations.
Partner closely with IT and engineering teams to drive delivery of new features for HR data management solutions and systems.
Lead the planning, definition, and alignment of data requirements and objectives, involving relevant stakeholders and verifying technical feasibility.
Prepare and submit annual budget, analysing revenue and expenditure projections to secure that they meet Sasol Group’s objectives.
Manage assigned projects, including delivering within scope, time, and budget and coordinating multi-functional internal resources and third parties.
Translate HR data product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.
Work across multiple project teams on day-to-day operations and propose feasible solutions as issues arise.
Identify gaps in HR processes / data management and work with appropriate team members to implement solutions and improvements.
Design and implement a control framework to maintain the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of HR data.
Provide subject matter expertise in data management regulations and data flows relevant to the HR field and Sasol Group business.
Interpret and specify the impact of business and regulatory change on HR data management. Maintain a roadmap for regulatory change and control enhancements.
Actively engages in industry research in order to keep the department up to date on leading people data practices and drive adoption of leading practices related to people data management
Maintain and prioritise a backlog of work for the data and reporting team. Present status updates, risks, and issues to the HR team.
Proactively identify regulatory data management issues and develop action plans to address them effectively and timely.
Work with IT teams to clarify requirements, refine, prioritize, and support the development, testing, and release of data management functionality, and review software increments.
Control and maintain regulatory data management functional specifications and test scenarios. Drive increased use of automated testing.
Coordinate with HR teams to verify that management of data and daily exception monitoring is effective.
Create presentations and demos to help train internal teams and educate users on roadmap and new functionality.
Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for HR data management in line with regulatory requirements.
Apply evidence-based SHE practices, in alignment with set standards, to ensure safe operations.
Implement Sasol Group’s risk philosophy and enterprise risk management framework.
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to use data driven insights and solutions to enhance HR data management.
